Message: My father is Daniel "Pepe" LaFleur and this website is a great testament to the strength, courage and pride of those who served in Vietnam and is a great assett for family and friends of those who served. I am proud of my father and anyone that lived through such a unforgettable event as this in their lives. We thank you for risking everything and asking nothing in return. :)

Message: When I first got in country I served with the B Troop 1/1 Cav at Chu Lai. After 7 1/2 months I 1049 over to the 123rd AVN. BN. who were called "WARLORDS". I flew as a gunner on slicks for the last 4 1/2 months. The Warlords were also at Chu Lai. You guys have a fine web site to be proud of. Just had to write and say thank you all for your service you gave for your country. God bless and may he keep you safe. Rotors are Turning Clear Right Up Sir

Message: Sabre76, Gun Platoon Leader for several months prior to being moved to the 16th Aviation Group as the S-2. D 1/1 was the most rewarding assignment I had in over 20 years in the army. I will always remember each of you as a comrade in arms, but most of all as a friend that would, and often did, go anywhere and do anything for a fellow trooper. There were exciting times, sad times, and thankfully some really good times. "If you ain't Cav, you ain't shit."
