Message: I was just sitting here bored so I went on the computer and typed in D Troop and up you came. I got a few pictures that I could get reprints of and get them to you. I was just with you all for 4 1/2 months but never ever forget it. I'd like to get an address for Pete Brown, Mario Candia, and sergeant Talamonie if you got one. Anyway I'll try to get the few pictures I got to you in the near future. By the way my name is not on the roster. Could be because they transferred me over from F troop 8th cav. Message: I arrived at Ft. Hood in the spring of 1968 into a build up unit for Viet Nam, D trp 1/1 Cav. We all got to the 101st Airborne Div at Camp Eagle, and began building our company area. In spring of '69 D trp moved to their new home with the Americal Div. I was transfered permanently into the 101st and was stationed at LZ Sally. Came home July 20 1969, (same day as our astronauts were walking on the moon) and to those protesters that greeted at the airport with their vial language and spit. I'm so happy that our returning troops today are treated with their rightly earned honor and respect.

Message: I am a historian, proof reader and ghost writer. In addition, I am a professional book reviewer specializing in the Vietnam War. Hailing from Pembroke Pines, Florida, I am originally from Forest Hills, Queens, N.Y. My wife, Natalia, originally from Nicaragua, assists me in my research. I have 2 cultured, athletic and intelligent sons, David & Michael aged 22 and 20. David is a junior @ FSU Law School and Michael an undergraduate sophomore at FSU. I also have a stepson also named David and my "alter ego," my stepdaughter Karen Elizabeth! I have a bachelor's degree in both American History and English (B.A. 1984 S.U.N.Y. @ Albany, N.Y.). My father was a pilot in the Royal Air Force in England, flying a Spitfire during the defense of England, a B-24 bomber, and a veteran of close to 100 missions over Axis skies. My cousin is a disabled Iraqi War Veteran, who lives in Tucson, Arizona. I missed the Vietnam War, as I was 15 when it ended, however I have lost many close friends and associates and know friends with PTSD from that horrible war. I am an avid historian, ghost writer, author, book reviewer and weightlifter, but find times to divide myself from "gym rat" to "Father"to "Inspirationalist" and finally to be a genuine friend to all those in need. To me, history is the crux of life! Those that do not learn from the mistakes of the past are doomed to repeat it! Here is my site on Amazon:
