Message: Came across the site and began reading through a few posts. Thanx to all those who put it together.
Started out at Rucker in GA. Then Hunter Army Airbase also in GA. Crossed the pond to Germany then rec'd orders for RVN. I guess the 67N MOS was a priority. Hooked up with "D" Troop already in Country @ Camp Eagle in Hue w/ the 101st. I recall the move to Chu Lai w/ the Americal Div.
Marble Mountain - LZ Sally - and Hi-way 1 remain etched landmarks. Memories of Ssgt. Ainsworth, W O's Christie and Burrows, Lt. Ledford, Tommy Tucker and the others I was with will always remain.
I have a few pics. - mostly flight line stuff. Don't know who to send them to or how they might be returned.
All old Army clothing is gone now but I'd like to ask if there is any way to get a hold of our round cloth patches. I'd like to give one to my VFW. post.
Thanks again for the site. I'm sure I'll at times look back

Message: I was the second Allen with the call sign "Sabre 22" following Jim "Piggy" Allen. I figured if he could make it through country and return to the world with that call sign then so could I.
