Message: I was with D-troop in Chu-Lai all of 1971. Served with a bunch of Great!! guys in the Blues. Mike you have a great site here that I came upon while surfing the internet. I was able to connect with a good friend John Launstein from Minnesota. I can't believe thirty seven years have gone by since leaving Nam. I have some pictures that I'll get to the site as soon as I can. I was with the Blues from June 1971 thru Dec. 1971. Started out as a 60 gunner then became a squad leader. Mike keep up the good work and I'll check in now and then. Hope to hear from other "Blues" that I served with. Thanks!!!

Message: I am the wife of former scout pilot Russell Johnson. Russell passed away on 12/7/07. He spoke very highly of D Troop and was very proud of his service with them. He flew an OH6, number 16047 with "The Pacifier" on the side. This was the helicopter he was shot down in resulting in the loss of his leg. I'm trying to locate anyone that might have served with him to obtain copies of any pictures they may have of him during this time. I met him in 1972 after this era of his life. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
